Position: Project Officer – Global Fund HIV

Reporting to:Area Programs Manager

Grade Level: 12

Purpose of Position

 

To ensure successful implementation of Global Fund HIV programme through a conditional cash plus project to reduce the risk of HIV among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 10-24 years in Turkana County.

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

A degree in Nursing Sciences , Clinical Medicine, Public health and Environmental health, Nutrition & Dietetics, Social Work or their equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years working experience in HIV community programs with BIAS on Adolescents and Young Persons
Experience in HIV & AIDS prevention, Advocacy and strong partnership with GoK ministries
Familiarity with the Global Fund HIV Programming and implementation guidelines will be an added advantage.
Computer proficiency in use of MS Office ((Excel, word, PowerPoint etc)
Registered with Kenya Nutrition and Dietetics Institute.
Effective in written and verbal communication in English and Kiswahili.

Good interpersonal, organizational and management skills
The holder of this position must be a results orientated who can handle a heavy work load as well as manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands.
Demonstrated training, facilitation, mobilization and coordination skills at both community and organization level
