About the job
Our Client a leading Audit Firm in East Africa is looking for an Audit Manager.

Internal Audit Manager – 1 position
External Audit Manager – 1 Position
Location: Nairobi

Managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services
Customer relationship management
Managing assignments: From client communication, anticipating client needs, job scheduling, audit planning and review, execution review and reporting reviews
Financial management in terms of billing and collection
Leading day-to-day operations of multiple engagements and handling issues that arise during the audit engagements in consultation with the partners.
Ensuring maintenance of the highest technical and professional standard in the department.
Addressing situation before they become crisis and develop solutions to avoid recurrence.
Taking part in the recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring of the team members.
Ensuring assignments are executed effectively and profitably.
Business development as agreed with the audit partner
Reporting: Both internally and externally
Representing the firm in board meetings, annual general meeting and other meetings as assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree in business or other related fields
7 years practical hands-on experience 3 of which should be at manager level managing and performing risk-based audits
CPAK, IIA, CISA will be an added advantage
Member of IAA / ICPAK
Practical knowledge of ISAs and International Financial Reporting Standards
Excellent communications skills written and oral
Experience in use of audits software e.g CCH Pro audit will be an added advantage
Analytical skills, problem solving and innovative mind-set
Experience in IT audits will be an added advantage
