Business Development Lead


Drive sales through customer engagement, direct sales- B2C & B2B, and sharing product knowledge.
Proactively identify opportunities to grow Powwater’s brand awareness both online and offline to enhance Powwater’s presence and appeal within the city.
Forecasting sales, developing “out of the box” sales strategies/models, and evaluating their effectiveness.
Ensure the Business Development team completes all KPI Indicators according to the overall company KPIs.
This role leads the Business Development team and people leadership skills are integral to the success of its delivery. You will build and lead a high-performing team covering Customer Acquisition, sales and marketing support, managing outcomes through review, people training, mentorship, and coaching.
Manage BD performance and reviews and manage Customer Acquisition reports, insights generation, and actions. Define & implement Business Development teams’ reports and reporting schedules with performance management meetings.
Implement a structured Customer Acquisition Management process, including sales and marketing analysis, after-sales follow up, and future contact cycles in order to enhance customer retention strategies.
Evaluate and anticipate customers’ needs and build productive long-lasting relationships.
Maintain and expand client databases within your assigned territory.
Monitor competition within the assigned region/zone.
Design and develop customer growth activities to improve acquisition, retention, and loyalty specifically: –
On-Ground activations, events, and tradeshows
Door to door sales
B2B sales
PR & influencer marketing


You should:

Have a teachable can-do attitude
An insatiable thirst for results
Have at least 5 years of professional experience, with strong knowledge of sales and marketing.
Be a great storyteller, communicator, public speaker, and a master negotiator
Always be discovering and prospecting with an ever-growing list of leads.
Proven analytical, business planning, and management skills – exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, think independently and problem solve like a boss.
Have a commercial mindset, be able to analyze data and marketing analytics to make informed business decisions, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of growth drivers
Be that guy/girl – you know who the users are, where it’s happening and how to get our app in their hands.
