Marketing & Communications Manager
As an integral member of Pacis leadership team, the role holder will be responsible for the development, creating demand and revenue generation through planning, development, implementation, and measurement of all marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both internal and external. This includes directing the efforts of the marketing communications staff and coordination at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the organization. Responsible for deﬁning the segments to life by designing clear and speciﬁc customer personas. An experienced change agent, customer advocate, marketing strategist, service, and product development champion who believes in responding to the ever-changing customer and market needs through provision of innovative and efﬁcient services and products.
Develop and manage execution of the company’s marketing strategy
Oversee integration, implementation, and measurement of the corporate brand strategy across all aspects of the business
Work together with the business development teams to achieve the set ﬁnancial targets
Customer segmentation and sizing, needs analysis, deﬁning ﬁnancial aspirations and mining of insights
Development of CVP’s for key customer segments based on research ﬁndings applied for business beneﬁt
End to end CVP planning for new or improved products and services in close collaboration with functional and project owners. Incorporating our voice of the customer in the development of future product and service offerings to drive strong uptake
Enhance the organization’s understanding of different customer segments, their needs, behaviours, and attitudes; lead development of relevant staff training concepts and content
Identifying research partners to conduct in-depth customer insight studies to ensure that propositions are optimized to meet changing consumer needs for customer Segmentation and customer value proposition
Initiate pre and post measurement for marketing campaigns and investigative studies to guide decision making opportunities for innovation or enhancement.
Conducting industry research and ﬁnancial needs analysis to guide decision making – e.g., positioning and pricing of products and services
Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to help the businesses develop customer service guidelines that will result in customer delight and loyalty
Monitor industry and macroeconomic trends and innovations inﬂuencing our customers – Periodic voice of customer analytics and reports based on primary & secondary data sources
Always-on insights that are managed per business line, customer annual research scorecard
Identify opportunities for innovation or enhancements to existing products and services through deep understanding of customer needs and customer feedback on current services offered
Product Development Support:
Conduct needs analysis, design and testing of products (across key customer segments)
Actively participate in the development of the new products and improvement of the existing ones in response to the market and customer insights while ensuring alignment to deﬁned CVP’s per business line.
Work closely with Business Development teams to develop marketing strategies for the business and products across relevant customer touch points to deliver business growth objectives
Support of go-to-market concept development process with clear milestones, activities, stage gates and monitoring and evaluation per business line
Ensure successful internal and external product launch on any new products and revamped products and launch of any rebranding
Build and maintain relationships:
Participate in stakeholder forums to create a solid network of strategic partnerships through building of sustainable relationships for long term business growth
Liaise with other departments to guide a uniﬁed approach to customer service that meets market demands
Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR, and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.)
Co-ordinate the pitching of strategically business-aligned story ideas to media and engage internal teams for media related interview opportunities.
Conceptualize, manage, and execute media related events
Develop related communiques for key speakers at events (including but not limited to speeches or talking points, fact sheets, guide notes/ speaker briefs)
Monitor media coverage and provide counsel on industry developments, by identifying tactics that would boost share of voice/ thought leadership
Build a highly efﬁcient team of marketing professionals
Manage the digital and online engagement of PR messaging; packaging and dissemination of leadership communication; and engagement through internal digital/ online channels
Develop and implement communication plans to support CSR initiatives, sponsorships, campaigns, and partnerships, for both internal and external audiences
Event management and media liaison duties for our CSR and sponsorship events
Vendor onboarding, contracts, policies, and processes development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A degree in a business/marketing/Communications related ﬁeld from a recognized university
A master’s degree or relevant professional qualiﬁcations e.g., CIM – will be an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Marketing and Communications Manager or successful track record in Senior Marketing roles in a credible marketing and communications function
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in results-oriented environment
Knowledge of the ﬁnancial components of product and marketing management, including product proﬁt contributions (cost, pricing, mix), P&L statements, budgets, and other ﬁnancial metrics
Experience with digital and print, content, and social media marketing with an afﬁnity for current digital technologies is essential
Documented and veriﬁable track record in managing brands.
Knowledge & understanding of agency and media partner processes to beneﬁt business
