Head Of Business

A Company based in Nyandarua District and dealing with water and paints is looking for seasoned candidate to fill the above position urgently. This is a start-up and requires the Head of Business to oversee and provide leadership to the Business. One should direct, promote and coordinate business operations to achieve the overall goals and objectives, while maintaining organisation efficiency, optimizing sales and revenue generation to maximize profitability. This role contributes to the overall business growth and the main Key Performance Indicators are Business Growth, Increased Revenue & Profitability, Business Expansion, Increased Productivity and Cost Efficiency.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the Business’ financial performance, investments and other ventures while putting in place financial control systems.
Develop and execute the Business’ strategies in line with the objectives set by the Directors.
Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans that will lead to business growth.
Developing new business opportunities as well as expanding brand presence.
Ensure that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but also owned by all employees.
Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities.
Provide strategic advice to the Directors in regard to the business growth and operations.
Plan cost-effective operations and market development activities to support business growth.
Supervise different departments (Sales, Marketing etc) by providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
Formulate and successfully implement company operational policies in liaison with the Director.
Ensure a positive work environment for all employees and other stakeholders that may be engaged from time to time.
Preparation of Business Performance Reports as may be required by the Directors from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS

A degree in a Business Related field and above.
Over 15 years’ experience 5 of which must be in a senior level management in a profit making environment.
Demonstrate capacity to lead and develop initiatives within a Strategic Framework
Hands on experience in developing strategic and business plans.
Experience of leading a start-up business and launching new products will be an advantage.
Experience in driving sales directly and through others
Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence Business
Strong understanding of Corporate Finance and measures of performance
Entrepreneurial mind and Business Acumen
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.
God fearing with good moral standing
Negotiation skills and networking ability
