Phone Repairs Technician

JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of a phone repairs technician is to offer technical support related to M-KOPA systems to enable smooth and timely repairs.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Timely preparations of devices on the M-KOPA locking system to be ready for repair by the repair center
Ensuring that all repaired devices are correctly set up in the M-KOPA systems and ready for customer use
Performing device exchanges for customers on M-KOPA systems whenever the repair decision requires so
Supporting Repair Center with any request that requires M-KOPA attention
Responding to internal stakeholders on requests about the statuses of phones under repair
Collaborative meetings with repair centers and other team members on repair progress
Any additional work assigned by the line manager

 

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

Minimum diploma in a technical field with a bias in electrical or electronics engineering or a related field
Minimum of 6 months of technical experience preferably in electronics repairs & assembly, or customer service
Clear communication via email, telephone, and in person
You are an analytical and logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
You are a quick learner, adaptable and flexible
You push yourself over and above your limits to get things done
You are comfortable with routine tasks
Conversance with intermediate knowledge of excel
Must be willing to work in Kisumu
